Hi,
I have a Revex W560 1.6 - 525MHz SWR meter that is dead. Does anyone know someone who repairs these instruments or is it now just a very expensive boat anchor?:-(

Do you know what caused it to stop working?

I have no idea, it was dead when I got it. No power measurement (PEP or RMS) on any setting, no SWR reading, no calibration, nothing. It behaves like an empty box with a meter screwed to the front of it.

Hi, SWR meters are not exactly rocket science, a meter a couple of diodes and a couple of resistors. Where are you?

Phill,
The meter is in Brisbane, I have decided to give Benelec (the Australian Yaesu agents) a crack at it as the UHF side is virtually identical to the Yaesu YS-500.

Good Plan, they should sort it.. Dick Smith used to sell Revex but I don't know how good their service is?

As rebradio said, there's not much in them.
The worst scenario is a dead meter movement mechanism.
Don't know if DSE are still handling service of them.
Only one way to find out.
