hi just a quick question i was wondering if a t2040 s2 could be reprogramed to work and programe like a t2020.

Sorry Darren, you would need a new logic board and that will cost you more than the radio is worth! $415 +GST for 100ch $495+GST for 1200ch.

You can program a 10 'conventional' channels however.

thanks for the info 10 channels would be ok but the trunking software i have needs a password that i dont have.

Try the password of K1W1. That should give you access to the conventional channels.
