Hi,
I think you will find the I & H are band codes and set by the hardware. Your friendly Tait dealer can reflash the firmware. All they need is serial numbers and existing model code and they can swap versions. You could end up with a H2110 that will work OK just above the 400-470 on CB channels but not as well as a genuine I2110.
Cheers Phill.

Thanks Phill,
I thought of saving few dollars and so wanted to convert myself. I am happy with H2210 if i can find the firmware and the ECC. Any Ideas where i can find one on internet. Thanks for your reply.

Hi Desibabu,
I think you will find Tait have it locked down tight. The ECC is a product of the serial number and the firmware version you want.
Good luck though,
Phill

Yeah - the ECC number is something that is derived from the serial number and another code that is assigned to it in the factory database. This is something you can't program around (unless you've got some pretty good hacking skills!)

i have done this my self and i had to contact Tait in QLD for the codes. they will send you the codes once you have convinced them you do not have a stollen radio. best of luck
