Need Firmware 7.01 for T2020

Hi out there I'm hoping that someone can help me out I'm chasing the firmware 7.01 or higher for the Tait 2020 so I can try to boost my radio by 1200 Channels if anyone has it could they pls let me know and possibly email it to me

I think that you might be out of luck trying to do this, unless your 2020 already has the 1200 channel logic board installed in the radio. As far as I am aware there is no way to do this with software alone, I may be wrong & someone can correct me if I am, but I dont think so.

Worelock is correct.

You MUST have a 1200 channel logic board.

BEWARE!!! changing a T2020 100 channel logic board firmware to a version of firmware for a 1200 channel board can cause major problems ie: your radio may become a paperweight, until you replace the firmware chip, as it may not respond to firmware upgrade via the programming application to change it back.

There are additional components on a 1200 channel board, mostly to support expanded memory.

For your info:
T2020 (series 2 only) logic boards are labelled 220-01344-12 (or higher)
1200 Channel Firmware V7.23. Requires Programming Software V3.00.

Simple maths tells me your board 220-01344-09 is LOWER than
220-01344-12 so the answer is NO, you have a 100 channel board.

Well I got me a 13 board BUT what else do I need to convert it over as it won't power up

What do you mean by won't power up?

What does the radio do when you turn it on?..Beep?
Anything on the display?
Do the backlight and LED's work?

Is it a new T2020 1200 Ch Logic Board or a used one? (perhaps faulty?)

If new, what version of firmware is installed?

If used, is the firmware EEPROM installed?

What version of programming SW are you using?
