To access the radios dealer mode it needs to be initially enabled via the software.Dealer set mode can be enabled via the CS-F1000 Ver 1.2 or with the discontinued version of EX1764 Ver 1.1.
Open the clone application.Scroll along the top menu of 'File' 'Screen' 'Clone' 'Print' 'Model' 'Setup'. Let the "Model' menu branch out so that PMR 32ch or PMR 160ch is indicated.
Leave the menu extended and now type "RESERVED" on your computer keyboard. On the letter of E before D you should hear a beep.On the bottom left hand corner of the clone application 'Maker Reserved' Appears. will be indicated.
Leave the model menu intact but now tap the "Enter" key on your computer keyboard. Now use the keyboard 'ALT' button to scroll the top menu until "Screen" is highlighted.
Press the down arrow key so that the "Screen" menu branches out.Scroll down the menu and the "Maker Reserved" program will be under the "Common" menu.Tap your "Enter" key to access the 'Maker reserved' region.
You will see 'Maker Reserved 1' ' Maker Reserved 2'. Use the keyboard arrow keys to scroll along the 'Maker Reserved 2' area.Directly at the bottom of page 'Set Mode Access' 'Inhibit' might be indicated.
If 'Inhibit' is shown just tap the 'Enter' key and use up or down key to select 'Enable'. Then tap enter again to confirm it.Henceforth the selection will appear as 'Set Mode Access' Enable.Use the 'ALT' key to exit this program so that 'Screen' is now highlighted.
Now scroll to the 'Common' menu and highlight it. Access this area with the 'Enter' button.Within 'Common 2' <EXPERT> there will be indications of 'PWR ON Password' OFF. 'Dealer Passcode' 159357. 'Set Mode Access' Inhibit.
Highlight the 'Inhibit' and tap your 'Enter ' key.Select the 'Enable' with down or up keyboard arrows. Now press enter again to confirm the status.Henceforth the function will now be shown as 'Set Mode Access' Enable.
So basically the "Dealer set mode" has to be initially enabled in your 'Maker Reserved' program. Then the final procedure is to activate it in the 'Common' menu of the cloning application.
For the F2010 dealer mode to be accessed directly from the radio front panel this re-edited info must be data cloned back to the transceiver.Obviously this can be done with a computer or a laptop.
''Please take note" The dealer passcode must be six digits. If you are new to this it is possibly prudent to first save this re-edited file. Then it would be safe to re-write the saved clone file back to the radio.
My usual method is to read the radio.Re-edit and save the clone file. Then i clone write the saved data back to my IC-F2010.The only reason i mentioned this is because periodically there would be clone errors.
You do not have to use the customary Icom default passcode of 159357.It can be any six number sequence . For example you could reconfigure it in the " Common 2 Expert "section of your application so that 999999 equals the down channel key pushed six times.
