The Icom F2010 can have its receive and transmit frequencies inhibited via dealer set mode.Enter your dealer mode region.Have channel digit on display shown as steady.Begin at channel number and scroll the dealer menu with the channel down button on radio.Receive frequency edit section is the first adjustable item after the channel number.

This area will be clearly designated with an uppercase ' R ' at extreme left of display.Under the radio screen is a programmable assign key allocated as [P2].To inhibit this receive frequency just push the [P2] button. The current receive frequency will be omitted and replaced with an indication of ' R---INH '.Obviously the 'R---INH' is an abbreviation for receive inhibit.

If you have no need of inhibiting the frequency just push the [P2] key again. Now the 'R---INH' will be omitted and the original receive frequency will be indicated. Please correct me if im wrong but the original frequency might go back to a row of zeros. If this be so you will have to re-edit the receive again.Scroll to the next item with your channel down key.

The next section will be the transmit editing area.It will be designated as such with an uppercase letter of ' T ' on far left of radio screen. To inhibit a transmit frequency use exactly the same procedure i described for the receive inhibit.Press your [P2] button to restrict transmit. Now the original transmit frequency will be absent from the display. It will be replaced with a text indication of ' T---INH '. If you do not want to restrict the transmit just simply push your [P2] key again.

The original transmit frequency might be shown on the screen. If it reverts back to zeros it can be re-edited easily enough.Should you prefer to test this inhibit function exit the radio dealer set mode.Power on again and push the microphone PTT button. There will be a very distinct sound effect emanated from the speaker grille. This sound is representing that transmit is being denied access.I can guarantee that your transmit is being blocked and no one will hear your modulation.
