The IC-F2010 receive and transmit CTCSS tones can be adjusted in the radio dealer set mode.Enter the dealer region.Have your channel number shown as steady.Begin from the channel digit and scroll the dealer channel menu until ' RC OFF ' is indicated. 'RC OFF' means that the receive Ctcss tone status has been disabled.Push the radio front panel [P2] key to enable ctcss tone adjustment for receive.Now ' RC OFF ' will be absent and ' RC 67.0 ' is shown on display.Press the [P3] key and the receive ctcss tone digit of '67.0' will begin blinking. While this tone number blinks select a preferred tone number with the channel up or down buttons.
When you have chosen a tone number push the [P3] key to enable it.The tone digit will stop blinking and remains steady.So henceforth the procedure would be "RC OFF' and press [P2] to enable. Push [P3] and select tone with channel up/down buttons while number blinks. Press [P3] to stop tone digit flashing and to confirm it.If you have no need of receive ctcss tone function just simply push the [P2] key to disable or cancel it.
Press [P2] and the receive ctcss tone adjustment will become absent from display.The F2010 screen will now have an indication of ' RC OFF'.Scroll to the next adjustable parameter with the channel down button.Now you will see ' TC OFF ' shown on radio screen. ' TC OFF ' means that the transmit ctcss tone function has been cancelled.To adjust the Ctcss transmit tones use exactly the procedure i described for receive ctcss tone adjustment.
