The emergency answer back call channel can be re-assigned from your IC-F2010 dealer set mode. The operational procedure is performed by using the programmable assign keys plus the channel up and down buttons.Enter the dealer mode.Push [PO] or [P1] until text of 'COMMON' appears.Beginning at 'COMMON' scroll with your channel up or down button so that 'EMR OFF' is indicated.

'EMR OFF' means that the emergency answer back call channel has been disabled or cancelled. If you want to enable it just push the [P2] key.For example 'EMR OFF' will be omitted and might be replaced with 'EMR 24'.To re-assign a different channel for emergency call press your [P3] key.The text of 'EMR' remains steady but the channel number will blink.

While number '24' is blinking i push the channel up or down buttons to select a new channel. My choice is channel 27.I press [P3] to stop the digit of '27' from blinking so that it is steady. The F2010 screen now has an indication of 'EMR 27'.This means that channel 27 has been allocated as the new 'Emergency answer back call channel.

Have decided that there is no need of this function and will disable it.I push the [P2] key to cancel the operational status."EMR 27" is omitted from radio screen and is replaced with "EMR OFF".
