Or Vice Versa

What you need:
1) ECC code number from your local Tait Office. To get the ECC , you need to provide the serial number of the radio and the current model code (like TOP-H2620-B0)
2) The firmware required for the mode of operation that is correct for the version you WANT (not the one you currently have)
3) Tait Orca Calibration Software, Tait Orca Download and Configuration software and Programming Software that is compatible with the Firmware you'll be putting into the radio. (Or just get the latest versions available)

Proceedure:
1) Read the Cal and Programming database from the radio and save them
2) Download the firmware to the radio using the Download and Configuration application
3) Then Load in the ECC code using the Download and Configuration application.
4) Hopefully after that is done the radio will power up and display Programming Database error.
5) Then you re-program in the Cal and programming database.
6) Then you should be up and running with the opposite type of radio you had before. (5020 goes to a 5040 or vice versa, 5030 goes to a 5010, 5035 goes to a 5015)

Just a note, watch out for keypad differences especially going from 5035 to a 5015.

Enjoy
